Why our prices are on the page
You have probably already filled out a form somewhere and gotten a phone call instead of a price. There is a reason that happens, and it is not a good one.
We publish the equipment price, to the cent, on every residential and light commercial generator and every transfer switch we carry. You can compare us against any other Cummins dealer in the country in about thirty seconds, and you should. Equipment price is not where a good dealer competes — every authorized dealer sells the same machine at the same advertised number. A few lines are quoted directly rather than listed: RV gensets, open-set diesel and units above 100kW, which are specified against your service and switchgear rather than sold off a shelf.
Where dealers actually differ is installation: whether the crew is in-house or brokered out, whether the permit gets pulled, whether the gas line gets sized correctly the first time, and whether anyone answers the phone in year three. That is the part we ask you to judge us on.

How it works
Start with the sizing calculator or call us. What matters most in Texas is your air conditioning: tonnage, how many systems, single-stage or variable-speed. Then well pumps, ranges, water heaters. You end up with a kilowatt range, not a guess.
A refundable deposit reserves your unit, locks the equipment price for 90 days, and puts you on the survey schedule. Refundable means refundable - if the survey turns up something you would rather not spend money on, you get it back.
A licensed electrician walks the property: pad-to-panel run, gas meter capacity and line sizing, setbacks from windows and doors, your service and panel, and what the city will want. Then you get a written installation quote. That is the first time you see an install number, and it is a real one.
Our crew sets the pad, places the unit, runs the gas, installs the transfer switch and ties into the panel. We pull the permits. The city inspects. We commission under load and walk you through the controls, the exercise cycle and the maintenance interval before we leave.

Not sure what size?
The calculator asks about your square footage, your air conditioning, and the handful of large appliances that actually move the number. It takes about two minutes and it does not ask for your email to show you the answer.

We install throughout Dallas–Fort Worth. Permit requirements, inspection scheduling and gas utility vary city to city, which is why we keep a page for each one.
Questions
Equipment and installation are two different numbers, and most sites blur them. Our equipment prices are published on every model page: a Cummins RS13A 13kW starts at $4,286.47, and the 20kW RS20A is $5,747.50. Installation in DFW typically adds $6,000 to $11,000 depending on how far the generator sits from the gas meter and the electrical panel, whether your gas line needs upsizing, and what your city requires for permits and inspection. That puts a typical installed 20kW job in the $13,500 to $17,000 range. We do not quote installation without seeing the property, because the variables that move that number are physical.
Air conditioning decides it. A 2,500 to 3,500 square foot DFW home with two AC systems is usually a 20kW unit with load management. Under about 1,800 square feet with a single system, 13kW to 17kW is often enough. Above roughly 4,000 square feet, or if you have a pool, a well, a shop, or three or more HVAC zones, you are into liquid-cooled territory at 25kW and up. The sizing calculator gets you to a range in about two minutes, and the site survey confirms it against your actual panel.
Real prices, to the cent, on everything we are able to list — which is every residential and light commercial generator and every transfer switch. Those are equipment prices. A few lines are quoted directly instead: RV gensets, open-set diesel and units above 100kW, which are specified against your service and switchgear rather than sold off a shelf. We publish what we can because you will find those numbers anyway, and a dealer who hides the equipment price is usually hiding the installation price too.
It reserves your specific unit out of inventory, locks the equipment price for 90 days, and puts you on the schedule for a site survey within five business days. It applies in full to your final invoice. It is refundable any time before installation begins, with no conditions and no restocking games. If the survey turns up something you do not want to spend money on, you get your money back.
Because four things change the price and none of them are visible online: the distance from the generator pad to your gas meter, whether the existing gas line can carry the additional load or needs upsizing, the distance and path from the generator to your electrical panel, and what your particular city requires for permits, setbacks and inspection. A licensed electrician walks all four in about 45 minutes and you get a written number.
We install across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, including Plano, Frisco, Fort Worth, Dallas, Arlington, McKinney, Grand Prairie, Southlake and the surrounding communities. We are an online dealership with crews in the field - there is no showroom to visit, which is part of why our equipment pricing is what it is.
Yes. Portable and RV generators ship direct and need no installation at all. Home standby equipment can be purchased on its own if you have your own licensed electrician, though most customers find the combined path simpler because the transfer switch, the gas work and the permit all have to line up.
Yes. UTS ElectricPros, LLC is an authorized Cummins Residential and Light Commercial generator dealer, and a licensed Texas electrical contractor. That combination matters: the dealer relationship gets you factory equipment, factory parts and a valid factory warranty, and the electrical license means the same company that sells it is the company that installs it and stands behind it.
